Are you anxious about the upcoming surgery and operating room? Virtually experience the operating room
Most patients having surgery for the first time are apprehensive about the operating room and the equipment in the room. When wheeled into the room on a hospital bed, for the anxious at heart this could be a troubling experience.
You will be happy to know that it is absolutely normal to feel this way. For the most part, the anesthesiologist will ease this fear with some mild anti-anxiety medication just before your surgery. But, to lay your fears days before that, we have a Virtual 3D Operating Room Experience specially designed for you. Keeping in mind that not all operating rooms are alike, we have picked an ideal operating room for this interactive virtual tour. Some of the equipment in the room may not be used for your surgery, but will give you an insight as to it's purpose and function.
Complex endovascular procedures are performed in a Hybrid Operating Room. These rooms have the capability of both endovascular and open procedures to be performed in one location, which is immensely useful when a minimally invasive endovascular procedure needs to be converted to an open procedure. This can be done in a hybrid operating room without having to move the patient from one operating room to another.
